ONE ROUTINE FOR FOLLOWING UP
Enable the reminder categories that support your process. Related features and their policies determine which issues can qualify.
INFORMATION AT THE RIGHT LEVEL
Management sets the company's default reminder delivery. Managers can choose their own delivery mode in their profile.
Choose a summary time for a consolidated view. The summary runs at the first eligible check after that time; empty summaries are not sent.
Receive notices for eligible exceptions. Company rules control repeat timing and escalation while an issue remains unresolved.
Email and text delivery depend on enabled company channels, recipient preferences and configured delivery services.
UPPER MANAGEMENT SETS THE RULES
Authorized managers can enable or disable reminders and configure what qualifies, who receives notices and when delivery is allowed.
Ask about your setup →| Control | What it means |
|---|---|
| Recipients | Choose employee notifications and the managers responsible for review. |
| Quiet hours | Set a delivery time zone and an overnight quiet window. Choose a summary time outside it. |
| Repeats | Set how often unresolved notices repeat. Zero means one notice per recipient until resolved; daily summaries follow their own schedule. |
| Escalation | Add selected managers after the configured interval. Escalation still respects channels, quiet hours and opt-outs. |
| Personal choices | Employees and managers choose their work-reminder email and text preferences in their profile. |
No. Exceptions are checked approximately every five minutes while the background service is running. Eligibility thresholds, quiet hours, summary timing and delivery services affect when a notice arrives.
No. A review reminder draws attention to unfinished or unapproved time. Period closing remains an explicit manager action with its own checks.
Not necessarily. It is a prompt to check the record. The employee may still be working, or a correction may be needed. A reminder does not automatically change the clock-out time.
No. They prompt review when an in-progress scheduled shift has no matching recorded work after the configured grace period. Managers should check the situation before drawing conclusions.
No. Correction activity updates are a separate profile preference. Choosing a daily work-reminder summary does not suppress those updates. Leave and schedule updates also have their own preferences.
No. It controls delivery timing. Existing shift timestamps and pay-period boundaries continue to use the application's server-time convention.
The reminder policy stops generating candidates and its open exception items are marked resolved. This does not fix, approve or delete the underlying time records or requests; they still follow their normal workflows.
