Start with Plan and billing

Managers: open Plan and billing.

Review the company name, selected plan, Monthly or Annual interval, user-seat count and status. Where available, the page also shows the current period end, trial end, scheduled cancellation and any pending plan change.

Managers can still open billing when ordinary company workspace access has expired. Employees should ask their manager to investigate an access restriction.

Free plans and trials

A selected free plan does not require a paid subscription for workspace access. A trial provides access through its recorded expiry. Check the date shown in your account rather than assuming a fixed trial length.

If a paid-plan trial expires without an active subscription, the company workspace can become restricted. Choose an available plan that fits your users or contact support if the account state is wrong. A password reset does not restore subscription access.

Count every active account

All active users, including managers, count toward the plan limit. Check the current seat count in Plan and billing before selecting a smaller plan. The plan cards show whether the company fits and how many accounts need to be removed if it does not.

Use Employees to review accounts. Finish or correct an employee's open shift before removal. Keep at least one manager; you cannot remove your own account. Historical time is retained. See the employee removal guide.

A pending change can also limit new users.

User creation respects the current limit and any smaller pending plan or unfinished-checkout limit. An upgrade does not supply extra seats before it completes. Finish or cancel the pending action when appropriate before trying to add more users.

Removing an employee does not itself choose a cheaper plan. Review the available plan and interval separately.

Select the plan and billing interval

  1. In Plan and billing, select Choose a plan.
  2. Review the current user count, plan capacity and Monthly or Annual price. Prices on this page are in USD.
  3. For a new paid subscription, select Continue to checkout and review the amount in Stripe before confirming.
  4. For a free plan without an existing subscription, use Use free plan when offered. No card is needed.
  5. Return to Plan and billing and verify the confirmed plan, interval, status and seat limit.

Use the live pricing page and your account's plan choices for current values. This guide does not duplicate prices or user limits.

Returning from checkout without completing it leaves existing access unchanged. Select the same plan to resume an unresolved checkout, or use Close unfinished checkout to close it and release its reserved user limit. If payment already completed, review the current subscription instead.

Integrations are available on every TakeUrTime plan. Provider accounts, authorization and supported workflows still have their own requirements; see the integration guide.

Review an immediate change to an existing subscription

  1. Select the intended plan and interval, then choose Review immediate change.
  2. Check the old and new plans, recurring price and seat capacity.
  3. Read the invoice lines, Adjustment for this change, Stripe preview total, Starting Stripe balance and Stripe preview amount due.
  4. If correct, select Apply this plan immediately and charge any amount due, then Confirm immediate change.
  5. Complete any required payment step and verify the result in Plan and billing.

Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately after confirmation and any required payment, rather than being scheduled automatically for renewal. Changing between monthly and annual billing, or moving from free to paid, can restart the billing period.

Read the complete preview rather than treating one adjustment as the amount due.
Preview itemMeaning
Proration / adjustmentAn adjustment for the change, including applicable unused time. It is only part of the invoice preview.
Recurring / other linesThe preview can include renewal charges and other items as well as the change adjustment.
Negative balance or adjustmentCredit applied to billing. This operation does not issue a cash refund.
Preview amount dueThe displayed amount to review before authorizing payment. Line amounts are shown before invoice-level tax adjustments.

Only the credits and discounts shown in the preview apply. Previews expire after five minutes, with the expiry displayed in UTC. If it expires or billing details change, choose the plan again for a fresh preview. Seat availability is checked again when you confirm.

A change may be blocked until an outstanding invoice is settled, scheduled cancellation is undone, or another pending change is resolved. Follow the specific message rather than starting another checkout.

Resolve the existing request before starting another

If payment or Stripe confirmation is incomplete, the existing plan stays in place. Open Review change / complete payment or Review the pending change, then select Check status / complete payment.

  • Completed: confirm the new plan and seat limit in Plan and billing.
  • Payment still needed: complete the offered payment step, then check status again.
  • Failed or expired: the change was not applied; review the existing plan and start a fresh preview if still needed.
  • Interrupted or uncertain: refresh the existing request and contact support if it cannot be confirmed. Do not assume a connection error means no payment occurred.

Cancel a pending change

When available, select Cancel pending change and review the confirmation. This cancels the unpaid plan-change invoice while the existing subscription continues. An already completed payment cannot be cancelled through this action. If the request's status is uncertain, check its status before attempting cancellation.

Cancel the subscription at the period end

  1. Finish or cancel any pending plan change first.
  2. In Plan and billing, select Cancel at end of billing period.
  3. Confirm the action and check the displayed cancellation date.

Access continues through the paid billing period. Use Manage billing to undo scheduled cancellation when available. Undo it before attempting an immediate plan change.

Do not assume cancellation automatically assigns the free plan. Review the account's plan and access state after the subscription ends. Cancellation is not an employee-deletion or company-data-deletion action.

Keep billing contacts and records straight

Under Company billing details, enter one Billing contact email and any Extra billing information, then select Save details. Extra information is limited to 255 characters.

These fields appear on TakeUrTime payment records. They do not change your profile login or automatically update Stripe receipt details.

Select Manage billing to use the available Stripe billing portal controls for cards, Stripe billing details, official invoices and cancellation. The button appears when a Stripe customer exists for the company.

Recent payments lists up to 100 saved TakeUrTime payment records. Select View payment to see a record. For official Stripe invoices, tax breakdowns, full invoice history and current credit or refund information, use Manage billing.

Resolve common billing problems

Why does a plan say Not available?

The plan or interval may not be configured for online billing. An existing subscription also needs a configured recurring price to change to a free plan. Read the displayed message and contact support; do not infer availability from the price alone.

Why can't I add a user when my current plan has room?

Check pending changes and unfinished checkout. A smaller reserved limit can restrict new accounts until that request is completed or cancelled. Managers also count as users.

Why did the preview amount differ from the listed recurring price?

The recurring price and amount due for a change are different values. Check the full preview for renewal lines, unused-time adjustments, balance and applicable discounts or tax adjustments.

Why did I return from Stripe without a confirmed subscription?

Payment may still be incomplete or status may need refreshing. Open Plan and billing and the existing checkout or change. Check the result before trying again to avoid treating an uncertain outcome as failure.

Why can I open billing but not ordinary company tools?

Managers retain billing access so they can resolve a trial or subscription restriction. Follow the displayed access message. Account roles and passwords are covered in the account guide.

What should I include in a billing support request?

Include the company, current and intended plan/interval, displayed status, active user count, request or invoice reference, time of the action and exact message. Do not send card details, passwords or payment-session links. Use Support or Contact if you cannot sign in.
